I hope you didn't invest a lot in that thing. It's sort of taking as long as an adoption but in the end the adoption is worth EVERY penny :)
It's actually a pretty nice conversation piece if you think about it: "Meet our new pet, Dudley. Yes, he is just a pod hanging from a branch, but he's really low maintenance and doesn't bark... much." Or, it could be some modern art with which you could try to impress people by saying you bought it from the MOMA catalog.
